Residency Description |
boo-koo, slang for the French word “beaucoup,” is a space grant and community give-back initiative for emerging choreographers. boo-koo provides selected artists with 40 hours of rehearsal space as well as some optional technical assistance and advising. In exchange, boo-koo artists create and implement a community give-back that may serve the dance or broader social services communities. Past boo-koo grantees have worked with students at the Hetrick-Martin Institute, offered classes to benefit City Harvest, and created a barter board for the community at Gibney Dance Center. |

Residency Description |
DiP, short for Dance in Process, is a residency program for mid-career artists. Each year, DiP offers exclusive and continuous access to studio space and an adjacent production office to four New York City-based dance artists, each at a critical stage in their careers. Awardees also receive staff support, a menu of resources, and generous stipends. What truly sets this residency apart is that artists and their dancers do not have to travel out of town or cover costly per diem expenses in order to delve into the creative process. |
